The new European legislation about protection of personal data entered into force on May 25th, 2018. It lays down to companies to implement some measures to reinforce security and privacy about information provided by individuals to companies which collect their data.
The personal data that we collect
When you send us a message on the web site Magelec.com, we ask for important information to consider your request:

- Email address (mandatory)
- Name of company (optional)
- Role in the company (optional)
These data enable us to answer to your request via our web site. You consented to their collection by confirming and sending the message.
Magelec collect browsing data concerning your behavior through cookies and your IP address. These data allow us to know:

The form concerning spontaneous job applications collects the following data:

The collected data enable us to contact you in case a position is likely to correspond to your profile. When you send our PDF form to create a client account, we ask for some information about the company and your personal status. The new legislation only concerns the personal data. Here are the data that we may collect about you:

- Name of the sales and marketing contact
- Phone of the sales and marketing contact
- E-mail of the sales and marketing contact
- Name of the accounting contact
- Phone of the accounting contact
- E-mail of the accounting contact
Purpose of the data
The personal data aren’t collected for commercial purposes or for any uses outside the frame of your request.
As part of legal or administrative investigations, and under a court order, we can be asked to forward personal data to relevant bodies.
Saving of the data
Without intervention of the user, the data are saved for 3 years from the date of the request on the web site Magelec.com.
When confirming the form for spontaneous job applications, the collected data are saved for a year.
Magelec.com guarantees the confidentiality of data. Thus, the data of our visitors aren’t used for any other purpose than those previously mentioned. The data aren’t forwarded to any companies which use contact details to send advertising or targeted marketing.
The data are stocked in France, on our OVH web host which guarantees respect of the legislation about protection of personal data.
Some data may be transferred abroad (non-EU countries) through our software editor on which we create and administrate our web site.

Users’ rights
In accordance to the provisions of articles 39 and 40 of the Data Protection Act of January 6th, 1978 and amended in 2004, users has a right of access, amending, updating and deleting on the information about them.

We require you to send a copy of an ID to make sure that the owner of the account corresponds to the claimant.
Amending right
Each user has an amending right which allows them, if they want to, to modify the personal data that he conveyed to us. To do so, please log in to personal space “My account”.
Deleting right
The users can at any time request to delete any of their personal data. We are committed to delete them within 48h (business days) after the reception of the mail or e-mail.
Transfer right
The users can request the transfer of their personal data to the operator of their choice. The data about them will then be extracted and digitally restored in an accessible and readable format, then sent to the service that the users will have named themselves. The operation is carried out within 72h (business days).
Leak of data
If an intrusion or hacking of our system occurs and provokes a leak of the personal data of our clients, we commit to follow a procedure to inform the users and limit the fraudulent use of the collected data.
Magelec.com is committed to limit the intrusions that can provoke a leak of personal data. Besides the security measures previously mentioned, we are observing an increased and continue monitoring of suspicious activities on our network.
Use of cookies
Cookies are small amounts of information stored in a dedicated area on the hard drive of your device (computer, pad or smartphone), when you read a web service on your browsing software.
